Privacy Policy
The owner of ehlen.us ("I") runs a small set of personal software tools ("the Tools") that help me manage my own email and schedule. This policy explains what the Tools do with data obtained through Google APIs.
Who can use the Tools
The Tools are for my personal use only. They are not offered to the public, and they are used only with Google accounts that belong to me.
What data the Tools access
With my authorization, the Tools read Gmail messages (metadata such as sender, subject, date and labels, and message content when needed) in my own mailboxes. At my direction, the Tools also organize that mail: applying labels, archiving, marking messages read, and moving messages to trash, which Gmail permanently deletes after 30 days. Nothing is moved to trash without my explicit confirmation.
How the data is used
The data is used only to produce private summaries and to-do lists for me, and to organize my own mailboxes. It is stored only on devices I control. It is not sold, not shared with third parties, not used for advertising, and not used to train generalized AI or machine learning models.
Google API Services User Data Policy
The Tools' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Summaries are overwritten as new ones are generated. Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account permissions, after which the Tools can no longer read any data.
